Find Your Dreams

Realizing that all possible realities exist is a mind boggling experience. It can give you a new perspective on the concepts of visualization and inspiration.

Literally there is nothing that you could possibly imagine that could not exist somewhere some how in the infinite possibilities. Have you ever thought about the idea that your dreams (be they the dreams you have when sleeping or the dreams that goals and visions are made of) are all windows into an alternate reality? The fact that they are not as continuous in nature as our everyday life does not make them any less real.

"What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you can hear, what you can smell, taste and feel then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain." -The Matrix

If you follow quantum physics at all or even have a vivid imagination, you may subscribe to the concept of multiple universes all existing simultaneously. These other realities are infinite and different because of the infinite amount of choices that nature may take when unfolding the reality or in the choices that people make. These vary from the most simple to the most complex of choices. In other words, there is a reality that exists now where I never wrote this blog and you are not reading it right now. There is also a reality where you where never born because your parents did not meet. You get the idea. To explore this idea in great detail, I recommend Rob Bryanton's book and blogs "Imagining the Tenth Dimension."

If you do subscribe to the 'multiverse' or the idea that because of the infinite amount of ways reality can unfold, all possibilities exist simultaneously; then you must entertain the notion that there is nothing that you can possibly picture, or imagine that does not exist in one of these infinite realities! Looking at it in these terms, it is as if your imagination, inspiration, intuition, and the like are all ways to tune into what else is out there; what else is possible. This means that even the abstract nature of a sleepers dream can actually exist some where out there.

The fact is that we as observers, in effect, are co-creators of our reality. The very act of observing is collapsing a wave function of possibilities into one particular experience of reality. This is, in a way, moving through the infinite amount of possible realities mentioned earlier. What we think and what actions we take will affect what we observe. We can actually navigate through these infinite possibilities to get to a desired destination. We actually "find our dreams!"

Any time a person accomplishes a goal that was only an idea before it was tangible, they navigated from one reality to another. They moved from the reality where their idea was only a vision to the reality where their vision was materialized. They found their dream. Will you find your dreams?

Get Geared Up for Success in 2009

“Success is waking up in the morning, whoever you are, wherever you are, however old or young, and bounding out of bed because there's something out there you love to do, that you believe in, that you're good at — something that's bigger than you are, and you can hardly wait to get at it again today.”

Whit Hobbs
Are you ready to kick butt this year? Did you jump out of bed this morning ready to go? If you are like most women, you drag yourself out of bed in the morning with a ‘ho hum’ kind of attitude. And then you wonder why you are not as successful as you think you should be. Newsflash for you. If this sounds like you then you’d better ‘Wake up, Alice’ because this ain’t living and this ain’t success. It is sleep walking through your life. It is being resigned to your life. Yuck, who wants to live life like that?

Success is an inside job.
If you’re not excited and ambitious about where you are and what you’re doing in your life, then do something about it – change it.
Now granted, for those of you that know me or have been reading my ezine for awhile know that I don’t literally jump out of my bed in the morning. I ease into my day with my quiet time and my coffee. My head is always racing with ideas and things to do so I do some writing (journaling) and read a mediation to clear my head and get myself mentally ready for my day. There is a method to my madness.

Bottom line! If what you’re doing right now is not getting you closer to your goal, then you need to stop doing it and start doing something else that will work.

Here are 8 Success Strategies that I use to coach other women who want create quantum leaps in their businesses and their lives.
Now, I know you are probably saying to yourself right now, I’ve heard all this before. If you know them, use them and are receiving results, read no further. However, if you are not getting the results you want in your business, I think you would be well served to revisit them and take action.

DEFINE what success means to you.
You can’t go there if you don’t know where you’re going. Could it be more time off to enjoy your successes, more money, more productivity, more fun, more choice. You name it. It’s your career and your life. Write it down, make it real. Read “Write It Down Make It Happen” by Henriette Klauser.

Use your Core Values to make all your decisions
. How many of you know what your core values are? Core values are who we are. They are not who we think we are, who you want to be, or who we think we should be. An example: How many of your current choices reflect your core values? How many are should’s and how many are choices.

Begin to set boundaries, say No

How many of you have a hard time saying No to everybody else but YOU? Example: How many of you think that just because you have an open door policy in your office that means you have to always be available? How many of you think that you can’t say NO because you won’t be liked?

Ask for what you want.
How many of you have a hard time asking for what you want? Your success is tied to your ability to make effective requests, promises, and offers. Example: Request/ Components of Request: Speaker, Listener, Action to be performed, and Time Frame to perform action.

Say what you mean and mean what you say.

How many of you dance around a subject because you’re afraid the result it would produce?
Master the art of presenting ideas and handling difficult conversations. There are guidelines. Most people get blindsided and don’t get what they want because they don’t clear about what it is that they want before having conversations. Example: Promotion, Management Idea, Breakdown with Employee.

Plan to succeed daily.
How many of you start your day off in a dead heat run and before you get to the office you’re already fried only to be met with one breakdown after another? Planning to succeed insures your success. Example: Every morning I start my day with an Intention Statement.
Carve out “YOU” time regularly.
How many of you schedule You time? How many of you don’t even ask for some time for yourself? If you want You time, you will have to plan for it to happen. If you don’t take time out for yourself, you become resentful and resigned. If you have trouble asking for time off, start small. Example: Put a ‘Do Not Disturb Sign’ on bathroom door and pamper yourself with a long hot bath (at least 30 minutes). Doesn’t sound like a big deal, but if you never do it, it is a really big deal.

Do yourself a favor this year.
Start off on the right foot, with the right strategies and the right mindset so you can get the most out of your time and expertise.

What's Holding Your 2009 Lifestyle Plan Back?

The Answer to the title is: "YOU!" The question is: "WHY!"

Now that I have your attention, let's see how I can help you get back on track to a Happy, Healthy Well Balanced Lifestyle. You are going to need some inner tools i.e. - dreams, goals, desire, motivation and most importantly, Persistence. Externally you need a pen and paper. If you don't write your dreams or goals down, you have only a 3% chance of creating a lifestyle you deserve.

Dreams or Goals:
pick 3 and be very specific when writing these down. Some of your goals may be a new car, house, career, business, relationship, vacation etc., so you would write down color, address, position, type of, how much money etc.

Attainable:
set your goals high, but not so high that it will add too much stress to live the lifestyle you dream of. Set your goal high enough that if you don't achieve 100% that you will still be proud of how much you accomplished and your lifestyle has still improved. This way you will have the confidence to set another goal to achieve the remainder with desire and motivation.

Timeline:
every goal must have an amount of time set for completion. Again, be realistic and set a time you know will allow you to accomplish your goal. If you do not achieve your goal in the time you allowed yourself, don't get discouraged; reset the time line for your goal to be accomplished. After accomplishing a few goals you will begin to understand the challenges you set to achieve the Well Balanced Lifestyle you desire.

Goal Timelines:
make a 5-year plan. What kind of a lifestyle do you want to be living at the end of 5 years i.e. where do you want to be living, what do you want to be driving, how much money do you want to be earning, what do you want your personal life to look like etc. You can only get there by creating a shorter to long-range plan (take baby steps).

1) Daily Plan - set 1 to 2 goals in a timeline you know you can accomplish that day. Accomplishing these goals will build confidence and motivation for the next day's goals. If you don't accomplish your goals for that day, don't get discouraged; set them over to the next day.

2) Weekly Plan - you should get a feel of how many goals you can set for the week to accomplish. Again, don't get discouraged if you have not accomplished all your goals (circumstances can change and alter your plans); transfer your leftover goals to the next week. Think about how much you have accomplished that week. Well done!

3) Monthly Plan - you now should have a sense of what and how many goals you want to target for accomplishment by the end of the month. What part of your lifestyle do you want to have on track and a direction by months end?

4) 3 Month Plan - at this point you should have a good feeling of direction for goals that you need to accomplish for your Well Balanced Lifestyle. It is at this point I will suggest that not all of your goals have to be lofty ones. You should by now be experiencing a positive shift in your lifestyle plans. You are creating a positive, optimistic, motivated individual.

5) 6 Month Plan - by now you are experiencing the rewards goal setting brings and the start of your new lifestyle. You now have a rhythm of goal setting. At the 6-month point begin to set 5 strong goals you want to achieve every month.

6) 1 Year Goal - access all your monthly goal journals and take stock of all your accomplishments to date. It must be amazing to look back from where you started with little direction of how to attain your your life's dream. Again, any unaccomplished goals can be sent over to the new year knowing full well you will achieve these challenges also!

Does procrastination, or to put it bluntly; excuses and lack of motivation sound more familiar?

Success in Life Means Goal Setting

Let’s start with looking at yourself in the mirror. Are we going to be serious about setting a goal and doing what it is going to take to achieve it? Because if you cannot answer this question honestly and without hesitation to yourself, you are not ready. Get fired up about a dream or desire you have been thinking about accomplishing and take ACTION! Success or failure is up to you. Don’t feed your subconscious mind with negative thoughts like: “It’s because of a particular persons influence on me

“It’s because this particular person doesn’t believe I can do it”
“I don’t have the time”
“I don’t have the money”
“I don’t have the education”
“I’m not intelligent enough”
“If I was a (sex, color, age etc.)
“What if I fail”
“What will people think”
“If I only had……….”
“If I only could………”

Do you think I have covered enough of your excuses?? I could continue with more excuses………

Just think of all the dreams you are missing out on. How much better would your life be if you: started that new business, changed careers, went on that diet, started to exercise, read motivational books ………. We control how lucky we are. And it is not luck. It’s motivating ourselves to set realistic, achievable goals to eventually attain the desire or dream we have. I don’t mean to be too harsh, but you have to take Action! With just wanting or dreaming about your goal, it’s not a goal, it still will remain one of your “What If dreams”.

If you can dream it, you can achieve it. If you don’t have a dream, get one. Have the courage to dream big and don’t let anyone tell you it’s not achievable. You create your own Happy, Healthy Well Balanced Lifestyle!

Get to a comfortable, quiet place with a pen and paper. We have heard this time and again, “those that don’t put pen to paper and write their goals down, will not achieve them”. Let’s face it, if you cannot bring yourself to committing to write your goals down, how to you expect to commit to accomplishing your goal. It has been said “if you will not connect to paper, you will not connect to reality.” What this means is, your subconscious doesn’t know what you want to do. When you do these exercises, it is just another way of forcing your subconscious mind to know what goal you want to achieve next. Your subconscious cannot differentiate your dreams from reality. It just knows you are setting another goal into action for you to achieve.

So let’s have fun with dreaming and planning on the goals we want to achieve. Start with realistic small goals you know you can achieve without too much trouble, and then increase the intensity of your goals after you become confidant with your goal setting accomplishments. You may only start with wanting or able to accomplish one goal a day at the beginning, but you are taking Action. It will get easier!

the Four Key Steps

First, make sure you are positioned to laugh frequently.

Laughter is as intense and nourishing as experiences get. It reduces stress, builds your immune system, improves relationships, feels incredible and improves the way the world looks.

The key is to make sure you keep yourself open to an abundance of funny stuff to keep you laughing. Everyone claims to like to laugh, but it’s astounding how many people intentionally or unintentionally block most laughter opportunities from their lives. They’re too busy, too important, too tired, and too serious, to blah blah blah ... and they close the door on laughter.

Be sure to keep it wide open. Funny stories, funny pictures and funny videos like those you’ll always find included in the free IntenseExperiences newsletter. Funny movies, funny friends, comedy shows … whatever makes you laugh, keep yourself wide open to it.

Second, to enjoy life more always remember to recognize and appreciate the little things.

There was an old toilet paper TV commercial whose jingle went, “Because little things mean a lot.” I don’t often quote toilet paper commercials, but I do agree with this one. And because the jingle was catchy, that saying always stuck in my head. Try to find a way to keep yourself reminded of the great importance of little things.

In the end the little things – a woman’s smile, a budding tree, that song on the radio, delightfully soft toilet paper – impact your life just as much if not more than the big things. That’s because there are so many more of them. And the beauty is, there’s an endless supply of these wonderful little things … if you know how and where to look and at IntenseExperiences, we’re committed to showing you.

Third, to enjoy life more, experience more.

Delving into new adventures – from transformative books and music to spiritual experiences, travel experiences, you name it – keeps life amazing. It nurtures wisdom while keeping you young at heart … a gorgeous combination.

And just as with the little things, the world affords you an endless supply of these new experiences … again most people get so caught up in routine they forget how to see them, or they fool themselves into believing they have no time for them. Anxiety, dissatisfaction, depression sneaks up on these people. New experiences are as essential to your life as water. Our job here at Intense Experiences is to keep reminding you of that and offering you new ones.

The final key to enjoy life more? Love deeper.

Romantic love, parental love, familial love, friendship, universal love, love of God … no matter what brands of love you give or seek to give, give and seek to give with greater intensity. You’ll find plenty of ways to do that in the Intense Experiences newsletter. And you’ll discover (if you haven’t already) that this intense giving, this loving deeper, is not merely another way to enjoy life more … it is joy itself.

Banish the Word Impossible From Your Life

Think of some of the big dreams you have had in your life. You score the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl. You win the Miss America pageant. You're a huge success at business and employ all your relatives. Everyone has these dreams at one time or another.

Maybe you dream a little smaller and could be satisfied with less - paying off the mortgage, retiring 5 years early, driving that special car you've had your eye on, seeing your child come home with all A's. One of my favorite dreams is to have a winter home in the Caribbean to escape the cold New England winters. There are a million things to wish for.

You might be thinking, well that stuff will never happen to me. I just don't have that kind of luck, or I was born poor and I'll die poor, or some such defeatist attitude. Well cheer up Bucko, because if that's what you think you'll get, then that's what you'll get!

If you think achieving some of these fantasy goals is impossible you are totally wrong. Your life can change greatly for the better if you will have the courage and resolve to decide to make it that way. Take that word impossible and banish it from your life forever.

"If man were meant to fly, God would have given him wings." Less than a hundred years ago this statement was widely believed. Now, thousands of people make airplane and jet flights daily. What was thought to be impossible is now commonplace.

Look at the hundreds of inventions and medical breakthroughs and technological advances that are in widespread use today. A man on the moon? Ridiculous! A few short years ago many of these things were thought to be impossible. People with vision and a desire to realize their dreams made all these things happen.

Make up your mind that you CAN make your fondest dreams come true. If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you think is not possible. If everyone had self-limiting beliefs and a lack of self confidence, this world would be a much poorer place.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and divide it vertically into three columns. In these columns, write down some of your life goals. Under one heading, list the goals 'you know you can do'. Under the second heading, write the things 'you might be able to do.' And under the third, list the goals that are 'impossible for you to do.

Look at this paper every day and strive to achieve the goals that are under things 'you know you can do'. Check them off when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly check off all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other one that reads things 'you might be able to do.

As you begin checking off some of the goals under the 'might be able to do' column, you should feel your confidence begin to rise. Move some of the 'impossible to do' items into the 'might be able' column. Give some serious thought to how you can actually accomplish these goals that you previously thought were impossible.

As you go through this process, you may begin to realize that things you thought were impossible to do might just be something that you can make happen. The impossible CAN become possible.

Aim high, and work towards those goals by breaking them down into smaller sections that can be knocked off a little at a time. Let your imagination work for you as you discover newer and better ways of grabbing what you want out of life. Work hard towards your goals and never give up.

We've all heard of Thomas Edison's statement that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. It's true. You won't make your dreams and goals come true without some old-fashioned hard work. But, anything worth having, is worth working for. And if you earn something yourself, the achievement is all the sweeter.

So, dream big and set some huge goals. Don't settle for second best, go for what you REALLY want. Push those doubts and thoughts of limitation from your mind. You can do the impossible if you really put your mind to it. Dare to try and you will succeed.
